After the events of Dual Destinies, Phoenix and Trucy Wright have been invited onto a renowned luxury train called the Royal Way Express. What's better is the invitation comes courtesy of Global Studios director Timothy Raine, who is near the end of production for his latest film based on the titular attorney's life, and Vicky Claudeston, an actor in that movie. But when the four of them finally meet, Raine and Claudeston are murdered, with Trucy as the only suspect in a locked room mystery. With Phoenix Wright taking the stand as a witness, it's up to Apollo Justice to defend his close friend and former assistant.
