Elysium

About Elysium

You've been a custodian for Elysia Preparatory Academy for god knows how long. All you know is that it's been too long: the people you see every day have no idea who you are, the work is long and mind-numbing, and someone stole the disinfectant from your cart 2 weeks ago. You went to college for forensic science, dreaming of being a detective -- of giving victims the justice they deserved and grieving people the resolution they pray for -- but you had to drop out to support your sister when she became ill. Every day, you wake up hoping it's all a horrible nightmare induced by the stress of working long hours and hard cases. When a police superintendent mistakes you as the new detective hired to work on the case of Stella Liebeskind, a student at Elysia Preparatory Academy, you're not about to let this chance to finally become what you've always hoped to be slip out of your hands. Here are the facts: Stella died on the school rooftop from respiratory failure from combined drug intoxication -- alcohol and her medication, prescribed for anxiety -- around 11:20-11:50 P.M. on Sunday, December 16. She wasn't the type to drink, and evidence suggests that someone else was with her when she was on the rooftop. Your job? Find out who killed Stella.
