About Zukama

Zukama is a 2D side-scrolling fantasy MMORPG played online with friends in a web browser. Players begin on the Hearthside Trail above the town of Larkhollow and head out through the Whisperwood, the Gloamdeep and the Mirewick Fen, with camps, hidden areas and jump puzzles along the way. There are four classes: the Warrior with a sword, the Ranger with a bow, the Mystic with a staff and the only healing magic, and the Rogue with throwing stars. The weapon a player holds decides how they fight, so no one is locked into a class. There are no class levels. Players improve at what they do, so swinging a sword raises the Blades discipline and loosing arrows raises Archery, and magic, throwing and smithing grow the same way. Gear grows stronger through tempering at a workbench, where players work hunted materials into their equipment and choose how hot to strike. Every monster can drop a sketch of itself for the Field Journal, and filling a monster’s page shows what it carries and makes the player a little stronger against it.
